Sim2000 – A Green Approach

As a growing company, is it our aim to work with responsible suppliers who are actively reducing their waste & CO2 emissions and offer more environmentally friendly products.

At Sim2000 Imaging, we recognize the paper industry’s impact on the environment and are committed to using paper suppliers who are proactive in reducing pollution and eliminating waste, as well as working to ensure Sustainable Forest Management.

Our paper comes via some of the biggest mills in Europe who are proud to be part of the forest certification schemes: Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Programme For The Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC). These organisations monitor supply and are dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests.

Wherever possible, waste at Sim2000 is recycled. We use an independent waste management company that specialises in waste paper and cardboard. Our recycled waste will end up as newsprint, cardboard packaging and tissue.

Sim2000’s packaging cartons are made from a minimum of 75% recycled material and are fully recyclable. Those of you who already buy from us may be aware that we recycle much of the cardboard packaging we receive by shredding cardboard to reuse as gaps-filler in the dispatch boxes.

Parcels sent by air use up to 8 times more fuel due to the consumption of the aircraft, so wherever possible, parcels are transported by road, even outside of the UK.

All of SIM2000’s wooden frames are pre-approved by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).  The FSC is an international organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests. This system certifies that the timber is tracked through every stage in the supply chain, from the forest to the final user, to ensure the wood is coming from a stainable and legal source.

We welcome your suggestions to help us improve our green policy.
